- The police in Malmö have decided not to give permission for an Islam-critical demonstration
- “We have made ongoing assessments and have today decided to refuse permission for this meeting. We do this because we see that it can not be carried out in an orderly and safe manner, with reference to order and security in the order law,” says Mattias Sigfridsson, acting head of the police in Malmö.
- It is the controversial artist Dan Park who applied to carry out the demonstration. The demonstration was also expected of the Danish far-right politician Rasmus Paludan, who said that he intended to burn the Koran at the meeting.
