The Eastern Uusimaa District Court has initiated proceedings against two Swedish men accused of shooting police and a number of other charges.
The events that took place a little over a year ago included an ambush in Porvoo and a subsequent car yacht in Pirkanmaa. Two police officers were injured in the shooting.
Brothers men face 13 assassination attempts.
The prosecutor seeks 13 years’ imprisonment for each of the accused, as well as assessments of their psychological condition and level of social danger. The two police stations are also claiming tens of thousands of euros in damages.
The brothers will show up next week
The brothers deny all charges of attempted murder. Their lawyers say they did not intend to kill law enforcement.

They admit to minor charges such as resisting arrest, aggravated thefts, gun crimes and general danger during a car hunt.
Richard Granholm, 31, and Raymond Granholm, 26, did not appear at the trial on Tuesday during the preliminary proceedings, but they are expected to arrive at the start of the hearings on Monday.
Prosecutors have not found a clear motivation for the violent series of events that began last August in Porvoo, southeastern Finland, and continued in the southern part of Tampere.
