Two women lost their lives in two similar accidents on Wednesday, but in two different places in the country.
Both in Odense and in Ballerup, right-turning trucks have hit a cyclist, and in both cases it has cost lives.
The first accident happened early in the afternoon at the intersection between Munkerisvej and Blangstedgårdsvej in Odense.
Here, a woman was driving along Blangstedsgårdvej when she was hit by a truck driving in the same direction, as the truck made a right turn along Munkerisvej.
The second accident happened a little later in another place in the country, namely in Ballerup outside Copenhagen.
At the intersection between Ballerup Boulevard and Bybjergvej, an elderly woman was hit when a truck turned right. She too has passed away.
Funen Police and Copenhagen West Region Police both state that the relatives of the deceased have been notified.
