It should be easier to be tested for coronavirus in Region Zealand.
Therefore, the citizens of the region can in future be tested under the same roof – regardless of whether they have symptoms or not.
This is what Region Zealand writes in a press release.
So far, people with symptoms of covid-19 have been tested in hospitals, while asymptomatic citizens have been tested in the white tents set up in the country’s major cities.
The change will take effect on Monday, September 7th.
At the same time, Region Zealand states that citizens with mild symptoms – unlike before – do not have to contact the doctor to be referred for a coronary test.
If you have no or mild symptoms, you must book an appointment at coronaprover.dk.
Citizens with symptoms should call and use their own doctor and paramedic, as they would normally do with any other illness.
– From there, the doctor assesses whether to refer to a test for corona, writes Region Zealand in the press release.
The Central Jutland Region and the Region of Southern Denmark have also announced that in future they will test citizens with and without symptoms in the same place.
Among other things, the change will be felt in families, where family members can in future be accompanied when they are to be tested, regardless of whether they have mild symptoms of covid-19 or not.
This is emphasized by Regional Council Chairman Heino Knudsen (S) from Region Zealand.
– Citizens do not have to run errands to be tested for coronavirus. It should be easier so that one family member does not have to drive to a city in the north while the rest of the family drives south to be tested.
– The same goes for mild symptoms. There is no reason for them to pass a doctor, who simply gives them a test automatically, says Heino Knudsen in the press release.
From 7 September, five test centers in Region Zealand will offer tests to citizens with and without symptoms.
They are located in Holbรฆk, Slagelse, Nykรธbing Falster, Nรฆstved and Roskilde.
There will continue to be a number of places that only test citizens without symptoms and citizens with a doctor’s referral, respectively.
