The government calls for weddings and confirmations as well as other parties to end no later than 10 pm in Greater Copenhagen due to the increasing prevalence of coronavirus in the capital.
They can still be held if you live up to the Danish Health and Medicines Authority’s recommendations.
– Our call is that you also close the party at home at 22. We do this to reduce the activity in the nightlife and the activity that can be at home, says Minister of Health Magnus Heunicke (S) at a press conference on Tuesday.
The recommendation applies in Greater Copenhagen, where the infection has increased in recent weeks.
The Danish Health and Medicines Authority’s recommendations appear on the Agency’s website with the heading “Private events, parties and celebrations in a time of covid-19”.
– You can still hold them if you can comply with the Danish Health and Medicines Authority’s good advice. But the clear feeding is that the party ends no later than 10 pm, says the Minister of Health.
It is encouraged that other events, parties and celebrations in private homes are not held with anyone other than the closest, close circle of associates.
In addition, bars, cafés and restaurants in 17 capital municipalities from Thursday and 14 days onwards will close at 10 pm. In addition, requirements will be introduced for standing guests to wear masks.
The measures are valid for 14 days from 17 September and tentatively until 1 October. At the same time, the lowering of the assembly ban in Greater Copenhagen, which is currently 50 people, is being extended.
– If we do not act now, then we risk standing on the edge of another wave of corona. One in five infected is young people between the ages of 20 and 29. Therefore, the restrictions must affect the nightlife, says Magnus Heunicke.
A stricter focus will be introduced on compliance with the requirement of a minimum distance of one meter for guests in restaurants, bars, cafés and similar restaurants.
It is up to the owners of the restaurants to ensure that guests staying outside the restaurant can comply with the recommendation of a distance of one meter from nose to nose.
