Thirteen new domestic cases of Covid-19 were diagnosed in Iceland yesterday, the largest one-day number diagnosed domestically since August 6, The essence reports.
Twelve people were diagnosed by symptoms and one sought research at deCODE Genetics in Reykjavík. Only one of these new cases was already quarantined.
A total of 52 samples were taken at test stations around the country yesterday and deCODE took an additional 135 samples.
There are currently 75 people in isolation and 437 in quarantine. An additional 2,118 are quarantined and awaiting the results of the border inspection after arriving in Iceland in recent days. One person is in hospital because of the virus.
