During the corona pandemic, Europeans are increasingly watching e-sports. It shows a study done by the game analysis company Newzoo, on behalf of Paypal.
In Spain, 70 percent of those who already watch e-sports stated that during the corona pandemic they spent more time in front of the screen than before covid-19 hit the world.
In Sweden, the same figure is 42 percent.
The results of the study indicate that the tougher the country’s restrictions have been, the more time e-sports viewers have sat down in front of their screens.
The report estimates that by the end of the year, 92 million people will be watching e-sports in Europe, a figure that has increased by 7.4 percent from last year.
