One woman has been released while seven men have been remanded in custody for smuggling kilos of drugs.
In addition, two more men were imprisoned in absentia, ie without even being present in court.
It happened at a constitutional hearing at the Court in Glostrup on Tuesday.
This is stated by Deputy Police Inspector Torben Henriksen, who is the operational manager of the special department Special Investigation East. The department belongs to the Copenhagen Police and investigates very complicated or cross-border crime.
The ten people who were arrested in a major operation on Monday are accused of having helped smuggle and resell about 40 kilos of cocaine.
During the operation, 11 addresses were searched across the Zealand police districts. During the searches, 1.5 kilos of cocaine, a pistol, a large amount of cash and “various equipment for handling drugs were found.”
The police believe that the network has been behind extensive smuggling and distribution of hard drugs to the Danish market.
– The investigation has been a long tough move, and we are of course well satisfied with the arrest operation, which went as planned, Torben Henriksen said in a press release on Tuesday.
He will not say on Wednesday whether the police know or have a presumption about where the two, who were not physically present in court, are.
