Prince Joachim started work on Friday as defense attaché in France. He got the position in June and it was planned that he should have started on September 1st.
But that’s not how it turned out.

* June 10, 2020: After studying for a year at the French military school École Militaire, Prince Joachim gets the post of Defense Attaché in France. The prince will receive the post from 1 September and three years onwards with the possibility of extension.

* July 24, 2020: Prince Joachim is transported to a hospital in Toulouse, where he is being operated on for a blood clot in his brain. The operation is successful. The prince is not expected to suffer permanent injuries.
* 12 August 2020: On the Royal House’s Instagram profile, a picture will be posted of Crown Prince Frederik visiting Prince Joachim in France. It is the first image of Prince Joachim after the operation.
* August 26, 2020: Prince Joachim’s appointment as Defense Attaché in France is postponed by a few weeks.
* September 18, 2020: Prince Joachim begins his work as Defense Attaché.
