Police issue four injunctions for violating restraining orders

Copenhagen Police were massively present in the cityscape on Friday evening and the night before Saturday, where there is a residence ban in several areas.

In that regard, the police had to close a party and issue four more injunctions to persons who violated the restraining order.

This was stated by Deputy Police Inspector Lars Karlsen on Saturday night.

– The situation until now is that we have closed a spontaneous party in Fælledparken, where we have also given an order and a charge for the use of soundbox (portable speaker, ed.).

– We have also issued four orders on the skating rink in Nørrebroparken, which is a zone with a residence ban, said Lars Karlsen.

The residence bans mean that you are not allowed to stay in certain areas.

A temporary residence ban has been introduced in Copenhagen in parts of Nørrebroparken from 18-06 from Thursday to Saturday. In addition, a residence ban has been introduced in Kødbyen from 22-02 until 23 September.

The rest of the night has been relatively peaceful, Deputy Police Inspector Rasmus Agerskov Schultz said early Saturday morning.

– There have been reports of music to the detriment, but no more than usual, and no injunctions have been issued, he says.

According to the deputy police inspector, there have been no problems with bars and restaurants’ new closing times at 10 pm.

The same applies to the affected areas at Copenhagen’s West Region Police and North Zealand Police, the chiefs of guards announced on Saturday night.

– We saw that the guests respected the restrictions very well, and especially the pubs were really good to get shut down before 22, says Rasmus Agerskov Schultz from Copenhagen Police.

– We hope and believe that it is an expression that people have taken on the responsibility that is necessary in this serious situation.

He encourages everyone throughout the weekend to consider whether to attend parties and gatherings.
