Jakob Forssmed and Ebba Busch highlighted four areas where they want to implement investments. The labor market, healthcare, care for the elderly and the problems of crime.
The Christian Democrats focus on elderly care and the judiciary in their budget motion, which has been presented this morning.
But reforms are also needed for more jobs, according to party leader Ebba Busch. Among other things, KD allocates just over SEK 14 billion to increased employment tax deductions and also wants to provide financial support to companies that interrupt short-term layoffs or hire new people who have been unemployed.
A national care agency can cut the care queues, the Christian Democrats suggest.
The Christian Democrats therefore want to introduce a national care agency to use all care capacity to get rid of the care debt.
Many patients have to wait for care because their own region has too little staff, equipment or the like. At the same time, there may be spare capacity in another region under public or private auspices, capacity that is not used but just stands and ticks money.
One solution is instead a national care agency that could be in place as early as next year, according to KD, which in its forthcoming budget motion will devote two billion to the agency and the work of shortening the queues.
