Ekstra Bladet reprimands three employees after the newspaper has carried out an external sexism investigation.
It writes Mediawatch.
– Based on the cases, we have taken some disciplinary measures, which has meant that three employees at Ekstra Bladet have received disciplinary reprimands, says editor-in-chief Poul Madsen.
Poul Madsen also states that three former employees have been informed that they would have received a disciplinary sanction if they had still been employed.
The editor-in-chief will not elaborate on what each reprimand is about.
In September, 46 former and current employees signed that Ekstra Bladet had a sexist culture, where the management did not listen to complaints.
The 46 wrote in a letter that they experienced “condescending comments about their appearance or lukewarm emails, while some even physically experienced sexual abuse that bordered on or was even abuse”.
