The police extend the temporary restraining order in Jomfru Ane Gade, Jomfru Anes Gård and Ny Mølle Stræde in Aalborg. This is stated by the North Jutland Police on Thursday on its website.
The stay offer is valid on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week in the period from 22 to 02.
The ban is part of the restrictions that must reduce the spread of corona infection.
Jomfru Ane Gade – popularly just “Gaden” – is Aalborg’s famous and infamous party street, where stripes of bars are side by side.
– The autumn holidays are well underway, and when many people have time off, there is a possibility that more people will meet, also in the public space, and this increases the risk of new chains of infection. Therefore, the residence ban will be extended by one week for the time being, says Deputy Police Inspector Henrik Skals in a press release.
The pubs must close at 10 pm, and to avoid the crowd in the street after closing time, the police have introduced a residence ban. However, it is allowed to move through the area, but you are not allowed to stay.
The fine for violating the ban is DKK 2,500 in the first place.
On Wednesday, the Copenhagen Police also chose to extend a similar ban in Kødbyen in the Vesterbro district. The meat town is characterized by accommodating a number of restaurants and other bars.
Here, the ban applies every day of the week in the period from 22 to 02.
Nørrebroparken in Copenhagen is also covered by a ban, which was extended on Wednesday. The ban applies here on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the period 22-02.
