At the fort Dansborg in the Danish-Norwegian colony Trankebar, Eskild Andersen Kongsbakke is sitting at his desk. The year is 1669, and Eskild Andersen Kongsbakke has now been in India for 26 years since he arrived with the ship “Christianshavn” in 1643.
Now he is commander and supreme authority in Trankebar, and then he is the last Dane in town. Everyone else is dead.
