Copenhagen’s Lord Mayor, Frank Jensen (S), apologizes unreservedly to the people he has offended on Saturday afternoon. It happens in a post on Facebook.
The apology comes after Jyllands-Posten has been able to tell about accusations of abusive behavior from Jensen against two women.
The mayor has refused to stand for interview. Instead, he wrote late Friday on Facebook that he is upset about the episodes “where women have felt offended by my behavior”.
On Saturday, he comes up with a more unreserved apology.
– I take full responsibility. And I would like to give you all my unreserved apology – this applies to my party colleagues, but in particular the people who I have violated with my behavior, he writes on Facebook.
He states in the same embrace that he will not speak to the press about the case until Sunday. This will happen after he has held a meeting on the matter at City Hall with his party colleagues in the Citizens’ Representation, the Social Democrats in Copenhagen’s executive committee and the party’s district chairmen.
