Radicals move crisis meeting to secret location

The Radicals have moved a meeting where the party was to be reconciled after a week and a half crisis as a result of accusations of violations within the party.

Accusations have been added back and forth between members of parliament, as Ida Auken (R) has accused political leader Sofie Carsten Nielsen of covering up violations in the party. Nielsen believes that Auken is lying.

It was intended that the meeting between the members of parliament should be held at Christiansborg, but on Sunday noon the meeting has been moved to an unknown place.

According to Ritzau’s information, the meeting was supposed to be held in the group room, but the meeting has now been moved.

– Radicals have an important group meeting today. A meeting where we must speak out, reconcile and move on. It is important that we can create the change we dream of, wrote Vice President Andreas Steenberg (R) on Twitter on Sunday noon.

Shortly afterwards, the press heard that the meeting was being held in an unknown location.

The crisis in the party picked up speed when former political leader Morten Østergaard (R) resigned due to his handling of cases where he was accused of having abused women.

Four cases have emerged in which the former leader has affected women affiliated with the party against their will.

Therefore, he resigned a week and a half ago and left the post to Sofie Carsten Nielsen.
