- More and more people in Blekinge are getting solar cells, but the solar cells can pose a safety risk to the rescue service in the event of a fire.
- “Above all, it is a risk when we need to make holes in ceilings or openings in walls. If we encounter a direct current cable, we can get electricity in us,” says Alexander Lindqvist, who is a firefighter at the Rescue Service in Västra Blekinge.
- The rescue service has started a working group that has produced a memorandum aimed at property owners, with the hope that they will take safety measures when installing solar panels on the roofs.
