As part of the upcoming Polish Culture Festival in Reykjanesbær, the organizers are announcing an art competition for children from the Reykjanesbær region.
“We invite all artistically talented children aged 10 to 16 and living in Reykjanesbær to take part in the competition,” says Monika Kruś, one of the organizers of the festival, where the most important element is the promotion of Poles living in and around Reykjanesbær.
The theme of the contest is: Polish folklore against the backdrop of Icelandic nature. You can draw inspiration from any source.
The format of the works is free, just like the materials that can be used during their execution. Works can be made with paints, crayons, markers, they can be collages, sculptures, etc. – creativity is welcome.
Prize? The works will be presented on the website Iceland News Polska, on the page Festival of Polish Culture and at an exhibition to be organized later in Reykjanesbær. The paintings selected by the jury will be used to create a mural project that will be transferred by the Polish artist to a wall in the city in the future.
We are waiting for the work until October 30, 2020.
Please send photos of your works by e-mail [email protected] along with the child’s name and surname and telephone number.
The competition adjudication will be announced November 7, 2020.
