Reporters Without Borders reports Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki for crimes against humanity, due to the fact that journalist Dawit Isaak is still imprisoned in the country.
Next year, journalist Dawit Isaak has been imprisoned in Eritrea for 20 years without being convicted of any crime. Reporters Without Borders is now, together with twelve international human rights lawyers, submitting a report against the Eritrean president to the prosecutor’s office in Gothenburg, Dawit Isaac’s old hometown, they write in Dagens Nyheter.
President Isaias Afwerki and some of his ministers have been charged with several crimes, including crimes against humanity. Reporters Without Borders believes that the crime is so serious that it can be investigated and punished everywhere.
