On Friday, October 23, the strong line player turns 40 years old.
With a career that includes well over 200 international matches and a long stay at FC Barcelona, he has long since established himself as one of the most recognizable faces for Danish handball fans.
A characteristic full beard, long hair and an iconic, affectionate screw shot have also helped Nøddesbo to become a darling in Danish handball.
His career began in the late 1990s with Team Tvis Holstebro.
After this, the trip went to KIF Kolding, where Nøddesbo, among other things, secured Danish championships in both 2005 and 2006.
After some successful years in Kolding, he traveled on to the Spanish big club FC Barcelona, where he was to prove to be stuck for a long time.
Nøddesbo thus played in the Catalan club from 2007 to 2017 and secured a large number of titles along the way. Among other things, he helped win the Champions League in 2011 and 2015.
In 2017, he returned to Denmark after signing a contract with Bjerringbro-Silkeborg. Today, he is still part of the team that tempts a life in the top part of the best Danish handball series.
