At the Danish Sports Confederation, CEO Morten Mølholm Hansen is pleased with the exception.
This means that children and young people can continue to play their sport.
“Association sports play an incredibly important role for children’s physical and mental well-being, and if there had been no exception, the children’s opportunity to practice association sports in the coming time would have been virtually shut down,” he says in a comment.
From Monday, the assembly ceiling will be lowered to 10 people from 50 people, but not for the younger part of association Denmark.
At Dansk Boldspil-Union (DBU), Lars Albæk, who is chairman of DBU Bredde, is upset about the situation for the adult football players. However, he does not want to completely write off football:
– In the local unions, we are of course looking at how we can work further within the framework of the new restrictions, so that we can continue to keep the community around senior football going, he says in a statement.
The stricter assembly ban is currently valid for four weeks from Monday.
