Due to strong winds from a southern direction, motorists, truck and bus drivers are not advised to cross the Great Belt Bridge with wind-sensitive vehicles on Sunday.
The warning is provisionally valid until 2 pm, when the wind is expected to subside.
It writes Sund & Bælt on Twitter.
Thus, you have to wait until later in the day to drive over the Great Belt Bridge, if you drive in a van or have a caravan or other type of trailer after your car.
Buses as well as trucks with no or very light loads are also referred to as “wind-sensitive vehicles” and it is not advisable to cross the connection over the belt.
On the other hand, it is not a problem for cars without a trailer to drive over the Great Belt Bridge, as long as the speed limits are complied with.
According to the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI), a strong wind from the south at Korsør will be blowing late on Sunday morning. The wind is measured at 11 meters per second.
