Minister of Education Pernille Rosenkrantz-Theil (S) hopes that party colleague Sophie Hæstorp Andersen will run as mayoral candidate in Copenhagen after Frank Jensen’s exit.
She writes this on Twitter.
Sophie Hæstorp Andersen is currently chairman of the regional council in the Capital Region, but has not even registered as a candidate for mayor in Copenhagen.
Several observers of Danish politics have previously mentioned Pernille Rosenkrantz-Theil as a possible candidate for mayor, but she now points to Sophie Hæstorp Andersen.
– She has a beautiful, crisp Copenhagen edge, is brilliantly quick in the head, can land political agreements and has a terrific social outlook in every conceivable context. My choice: Sophie Hæstorp, writes Pernille Rosenkrantz-Theil on Twitter.
On Tuesday, Mette Reissmann was the first to run for office next year. Mette Reissmann is a former member of parliament for the Social Democrats and also known from the TV3 program “Luksusfælden”.
Lars Weiss is currently acting mayor of Copenhagen.
