For the second year in a row, FC Nordsjælland is ranked as the youngest team in Europe after the first five matches in the Superliga season.
According to CIES Football Observatory, FCN’s average age of 22.7 years is unparalleled in the top 20 UEFA leagues – right in front Famalicão (23.1) and The Hague (23.4).
At the opposite end of the spectrum, the Cypriot side Anorthosis had a mean age of 31.1.
Lyngby and FC Copenhagen had the oldest sides in the Super League with an average age of 27.8 and 27.2, respectively.

FCK says Jess to Thorup
Elsewhere, FC Copenhagen has moved on from the legendary coach Ståle Solbakken by with Jess Thorup as replacement.
The move has come as a surprise as the 50-year-old only recently signed a long-term deal with Belgian clothing Genk.
Thorup, who has also had fruitful spells with Ghent, FC Midtjylland, Esbjerg and the Danish under-21 side, has drawn up an agreement until the summer of 2024.
