- The two men who were previously convicted of the murder of the 70-year-old in Markaryd last summer are completely acquitted by the Göta Court of Appeal, which thus changes the Växjö District Court’s previous ruling.
- According to the Court of Appeal, it has not been proven that the acts were committed by two people. And since it is not possible to say which of the two men would in that case be guilty, one chooses to free both.
- The Court of Appeal thus makes a completely different assessment than Växjö District Court, which last summer sentenced the men to life imprisonment and deportation.
