Fanny Tivenius was asked to commit suicide a few years ago when she was unwell. She reported it to the police, but because what the person did was not illegal, it had no legal consequences.
“Now I walked around thinking that I deserved what he said, that what he said was right and that it was something I should do,” she says.
- Dennis Martinsson has a PhD in criminal law from Stockholm University and he believes that one should not be too optimistic:
“It sends a signal that ‘this behavior is not okay’, but I think one hopes for too much if one thinks this will lead to many convictions.”
