Forecasters forecast up to 10 cm of snow in Finland

Wet and windy weather turns to snow in the eastern parts on Tuesday as the temperature drops. Eastern areas can see snow from three to eight centimeters, according to Yle Meteorologist Nina Karusto.

However, the low-pressure area prevailing on Wednesday will bring more rainfall by sweeping over Finland, which will melt most of the snowfall expected in North Karelia.

On Thursday, more rain is set to move west, which will crystallize by the time they arrive in the midlands as they merge into the cold air flowing from the north.

This could lead to fresh snowfall of up to 10 centimeters from Ostrobothnia to Kainuu.
