Icelandair plans to increase the number of destinations and flights during the holiday season, i.e. December 16 to January 10, 2021.
The airlines intend to fly to and from Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Frankfurt and Berlin. In North America, the company plans flights to and from Boston, New York and Seattle.
Icelandair says it will use its best efforts to get passengers to their destination before Christmas and New Years. However, circumstances are constantly changing due to the coronavirus epidemic.
The airline’s announcement said that “If individual flights are canceled, it will be announced well in advance and Icelandair will resolve passenger problems”.
It can be assumed that many Icelanders living abroad will choose to go home for Christmas and New Years.
Police chief Víðir Reynisson reminded today that all those who plan to come should try to return home no later than December 18, so that they do not have to spend holidays in quarantine.
