The government and the co-operation parties have agreed on lower requirements for companies that need adjustment support due to the pandemic, Minister of Finance Magdalena Andersson announced today.
The companies that lose at least 30 percent in turnover during November and December compared to the same period last year are entitled to adjustment support. As for the period August to October, this applies to companies that have lost at least 40 percent compared to the same period last year.
The message is welcomed from several places although there is also a concern that the money may come too late.
– It is good that the conditions for this support to companies are improved and it is in line with what the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise has put forward, says Jonas Fryklund at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.
Does this mean that companies will survive this crisis?
– What will be crucial now and what you can speed up is the process of getting this compensation to the companies so that you really have time to save jobs and companies in time. The most affected companies now have very small reserves, there is not much more to take away.
