A department in the technical and environmental administration has posted employee hours on three fictitious construction projects ?? without having had the budget for it.
A deficit of more than DKK 37 million has been registered. And the deficit can increase by another 15 million kroner. This is stated by the municipality in a press release.
According to the municipality, there may be fraud in the form of deliberate misinformation in an account.
Technical and Environmental Mayor Ninna Hedeager Olsen (EL) will not rule out that it may have personnel law consequences.
– In order to avoid such problems recurring in the future, I have demanded an account of the course of events.
– When the statement is available, we must look at what consequences it should have, says the mayor in the announcement.
It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
According to the announcement, the financial challenge is being handled by making an internal loan, which must be repaid over a number of years, so that drastic savings are avoided here and now.
