CALUMET, Mich. (WLUC) – Main Street Calumet Farmers Market moved its “Cool Season” indoor market this high season. Customers could purchase fresh and homemade items from suppliers in the Copper Country Curling Club building. Items such as cookie dark cakes and snickerdoodles were on display, as well as bread, donuts, coffee, fish, honey, maple syrup, jelly and even jewelry. Maragret Hanson from Teach to Taste Cooking Classes & Bakery brought her Scandinavian pastries to show and sell to the public. “Scandinavian flavors are part of the cultural heritage here in the copper country,” said Hanson. “Nothing says the holidays like these wonderful and warm flavors.” Main Street Calumet extended the market for “Cool Season”. People can stay at the Copper Country Curling Club complex every Saturday until December 19th.
