Minister of Social Affairs and the Interior Astrid Krag (S) is in self-isolation, as she has been in contact with a corona infection.
She writes this on Facebook.
She does not state whether it happened privately or professionally.
– Oh well – I have been with someone who has now tested positive for corona. So now it’s home in self-isolation with Skype, Zoom, Teams, Pexip and all the digital meeting hoist we’ve had to get used to since the coronavirus arrived and turned our everyday lives upside down.
– Thus, it will also not be until next week that I can again enjoy the beautiful Christmas trees at Christiansborg, she writes.
Astrid Krag is the latest in a long line of politicians – including several ministers – who have had to go into self-isolation.
Transport Minister Benny Engelbrecht (S) has done the same, as has former Food Minister Mogens Jensen (S), and also Environment Minister Lea Wermelin (S) has had to isolate herself after contact with a corona infection.
Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S) has also had a trip in isolation. However, none of the aforementioned has received a positive coronate test.
It has, in turn, other top politicians. This applies to, among others, Minister of Justice Nick Hækkerup (S) and the Conservatives’ chairman, Søren Pape Poulsen.
In addition, members of parliament such as Bjørn Brandenborg (S), Mads Fuglede (V) and the former Minister of Defense Lars Christian Lilleholt (V) had a corona – Lars Christian Lilleholt was so badly affected that he had to be admitted.
Astrid Krag also ends her Facebook post by sending Christmas greetings and wishing good recovery to the sick.
