Helsingin Sanomat tells the Prime Minister Sanna Marin would like a former prime minister and a former SDP leader Antti Rinne (SDP) to be replaced Johanna Ojala-Niemelä (SDP) as chairman of Parliament’s Committee on Constitutional Affairs.
The need for temporary compensation became apparent after Ojala-Niemelä revealed that she was undergoing surgery for a brain tumor, followed by sick leave from 14 December.
However, Marin and Rinne have not commented on the matter. Marin, who became the world’s youngest prime minister a year ago, took over from prime minister Rinnen after a protracted post-labor dispute.
In her Facebook message, Ojala-Niemelä explained that the Social Democratic Party’s parliamentary group will organize the replacement of her sick leave in the coming days.
Ojala-Niemelä told Me Naiset that she had headaches in early autumn and later had unexplained fatigue.
"Doctors say the cancer is benign, but we only get an overall picture after surgery," he told me Women.
Lapland’s Ojala-Niemelä, Member of Parliament, has served in the constituency since 2007.
