New study: Red wine with food lowers blood sugar
  • Red wine with food can lower blood sugar levels and reduce hunger, according to a study from Linköping University which SVT East reports on.
  • In the study, 14 medical students ate a high-calorie meal consisting of burgers and chocolate chip cookies.
  • Three hours after the meal, their blood sugar levels were lower than when they received non-alcoholic wine in their glasses.
