When looking at where the infected come from, the Capital Region dominates the statistics. Here, 5.86 percent of a total of 2543 samples were positive.
Falck has started testing people for free for coronavirus after the company entered into an agreement with the regions and the government on Friday night. It reads that Falck must expand its capacity to be able to test 50,000 people a day.
While the healthcare system uses so-called PCR tests, which can come up with a test result within 24 hours, Falck uses lightning tests – so-called antigen tests – which are less sensitive and therefore less reliable.
The health authorities recommend that people who show symptoms of covid-19 or have been in close contact with an infected person have a PCR test performed instead of a lightning test.
