The former Minister of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Mogens Jensen (S) has been appointed to sit on the board of the Folketeatret in Copenhagen by Minister of Culture Joy Mogensen (S).
This is stated by the Ministry of Culture in a press release.
Mogens Jensen resigned on 18 November as Minister of Food, after the government had ordered all mink in Denmark killed, even though there was no legal basis for it.
Jensen’s post in the Folketeatret will last for a minimum of two years, because half of the board members are appointed every other year.
In total, members of five theater boards have been appointed by Joy Mogensen. Regarding the appointment, the Minister says:
– Both new forces and seasoned board members for five large theaters have agreed to participate when the theaters continue on their journey to reach new audience groups with wonderful performing arts experiences.
– Each has the good competencies with them, which they are willing to put into play to make the theaters even stronger players in Danish society, she says in the announcement.
In this appointment to the theater boards, the Minister of Culture, the theaters’ employees and the Copenhagen Theater Cooperation have appointed or reappointed members.
