Compared to a week ago, the positive answers to the lightning tests have become longer.
When Falck was the first of the companies to start the state-paid lightning tests last weekend, 4.23 percent of the test results were positive.
In recent days, the positive percentage has been between 2.4 and 2.5.
Lightning tests or antigen tests are not as reliable as the PCR tests used in public.
If you have symptoms of infection, or if you are in close contact, you should have a PCR test performed according to the health authorities.
In the agreement with the government, Falck is responsible for half of the lightning tests that are made available. And there is still plenty of spare capacity, says Jørgen Mieritz, ambulance director at Falck.
– We had the busiest day on Sunday so far with 30,545 tested, but there is still plenty of spare capacity, he says.
On Monday, Falck opens two new test centers in Copenhagen. One in Valbyhallen and a 24-hour center in Østerbrohuset in Aarhusgade.
– We have had very good experiences with 24-hour centers in Odense and Aalborg, says Jørgen Mieritz.
– In Odense, we have seen that more have been tested at night than during the day. Especially people with changing working hours have been happy with the opportunity, which we will now extend to Copenhagen.
He states that the overall message from Falck’s about 45 test centers is that not many young people are coming.
– We see very few people under the age of 30. I would really like to appeal to the young people to come by because they are an important target group to get tested.
The figures for lightning tests are not included in the statement that comes every day at 14.00 from the Statens Serum Institut.
