The EU and China may have agreed on investment agreements

The EU and China may have agreed on investment agreements
  • The EU and China appear to have agreed on an investment agreement after almost seven years of negotiations.
  • Tomorrow, the European Commission is expected to present the finalized agreement, which the European Parliament will then have to approve.
  • “A next step if this investment agreement comes into place, it is a free trade agreement later, but one step at a time,” says Frédéric Cho, independent China adviser and vice chairman of the Sweden-China Trade Council.
