A 38-year-old man died on Saturday night after a shooting that police suspect is gang-related. A 21-year-old man has also been shot.
This is stated by Svend Foldager, who is a police inspector at the North Zealand Police.
Four men arrived at 7 pm at North Zealand Hospital in Hillerød.
– The two people were brought to the hospital in a private car together with two other men, he says.
The 21-year-old has been on the operating table at North Zealand Hospital. His condition is not critical.
– He has had surgery and is not in critical condition, says Svend Foldager on the night before Sunday.
The other two men were both arrested after arriving at the hospital.
Chief of security at North Zealand Police David Borchersen has previously described to Ekstra Bladet that it was a car with bullet holes.
According to the newspaper’s journalist on site, there are many bullet holes in the windscreen, on the radiator and in the side door.
Police do not yet know what happened prior to the car arriving at the hospital.
– We do not know where the crime scene is, so we are looking for information about it, if some can make us wiser about where it happened and what happened, says Svend Foldager.
Shortly before midnight, the police were still present in large numbers at North Zealand Hospital. Among other things, to ensure peace and order in the hospital, where relatives and others showed up.
Several of the people who showed up at the hospital were arrested, he said. There are at least ten arrested in total.
“Several of those who showed up at the hospital have been arrested to find out if they have a role in the case, or if they are just relatives,” the police inspector said on Saturday night.
Early Sunday morning, duty officer at North Zealand Police David Buch informs that all the detainees have been released again.
– Everyone is released. There are no arrests in the case right now, he says.
According to Ekstra Bladet’s information from sources in the environment, the 38-year-old killed was previously related to the rock club Bandidos and has later been linked to the criminal street gang NNV.
North Zealand Police do not wish to comment on that information.
