- A British court today rejected the US extradition request of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange from the UK with reference to Assange’s health condition.
- However, the US side has indicated that they will appeal the verdict and on Wednesday it will be decided whether Assange can be released on bail pending any appeals.
- The Assange side is now hoping that the United States will drop the prosecution against Assange, especially when Joe Biden takes over as the new president in a few weeks.
