Reporters Without Borders welcomes the news of Assange
  • The British court’s ruling that Wikileaks founder Julian Assange cannot be extradited to the United States for health reasons is welcomed by Reporters Without Borders.
  • “It is serious, of course, if he is ill and feeling bad, but he is not free now. If an appeal process arises, he must remain, which further hinders the health risks,” says Reporters Without Borders’ Swedish chairman Erik Halkjear.
  • He now hopes that US President-elect Joe Biden will address the gaps in the law and strengthen the legal security of whistleblowers.
