This is what Minister of Health Magnus Heunicke (S) says at a press conference.
A little more optimistic was the message from Thomas Senderovitz, director of the Danish Medicines Agency.
– If all vaccines are approved and we receive deliveries as agreed, then during the summer we will have enough vaccines for the entire population.
– There are a number of prerequisites for it to succeed, but you should not be so much a party-killer that you say that it is not possible, says Thomas Senderovitz at the press conference.
He also says that the vaccine is also expected to be effective against the British corona variant.
On Tuesday morning, 51,512 people were vaccinated in Denmark. On Friday, everyone in a nursing home will have been offered a vaccine.
Then other risk group will be vaccinated. This applies to people over the age of 65 who receive personal and practical help, as well as people over the age of 85.
Right now, Denmark is vaccinating with the corona vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech.
But a vaccine from Moderna is expected to receive a recommendation for approval from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) on Wednesday. It must then finally be approved by the European Commission.
Over time, it will send a million vaccines the way of Denmark.
