- The men’s 15 km classic in Toblach was completely dominated by Russia, with five skiers in the top and seven Russians among the top eight.
- The fastest of all was Alexander Bolshunov 8.3 seconds ahead of Denis Spitsov and 13.9 seconds ahead of Ivan Yakimushkin while Oskar Svensson became best Swede in 19th place, just ahead of Calle Halfvarsson in 20th place.
- After four stages, Bolshunov leads one minute and 15 seconds ahead of compatriot Artem Maltsev and closest in the total among the Swedes is Calle Halfvarsson in place 16, four minutes and five seconds behind the Russian star.
