New clues in case of murder of 43-year-old Maria From Jakobsen

New clues in case of murder of 43-year-old Maria From Jakobsen

Have you seen the priest from Frederikssund, Thomas Gotthard, with a blue feed barrel or a gray sack cart?

This is the question from the North Zealand Police, who are trying to clarify the fate of the 43-year-old psychologist Maria From Jakobsen.

Maria From Jakobsen has been missing since October 26 last year, and since then her husband – the priest Thomas Gotthard – has been charged with killing her.

It is an unusual murder case, not least because the woman’s body has not yet appeared.

Police, however, appear to have found a piece that fits into the investigators’ puzzle of the case.

The investigation has shown that Thomas Gotthard on November 6 last year – 11 days after Maria From Jakobsen disappeared – disposed of a blue feed barrel at a recycling site.

Therefore, the police are now looking for witnesses who either have Thomas Gotthard with the blue feed barrel in the period between 1 and 6 November or someone who has sold him such a feed barrel.

After several media outlets obtained the court book from the priest’s closed constitutional interrogation, it emerged that he had allegedly searched the web for sea depth, oil barrels, suicide and disappearance.

It also appeared from the court book that the police had found large amounts of caustic soda and hydrochloric acid in the man.

Pictures from video surveillance show that Thomas Gotthard was at Frederikssund Recycling Site on 6 November.

In addition to the blue feed barrel, the priest accused of murder disposed of a gray sack cart.

The police state that the sack truck is of the brand “Garden”, and it has a gray frame and red wheels.

The feed barrel is blue and has a black lid with a metal tensioning strap. It is estimated to have a size of about 60 liters and a height of between 60 and 70 centimeters.

Police are urging people who have seen Thomas Gotthard with the sack truck between 1 and 6 November to contact the police telephone number, 114.
