Here, the Unity List and the Liberal Alliance have expressed a wish in advance that it become an independent indictment.
In that case, it must supplement an indictment for what is at the heart of the case, namely an illegal separation of all asylum couples, one of whom was a minor, without individual assessment, in 2016.
At the time, Støjberg was the responsible minister, and therefore a majority in the Folketing believes that a national court case should be brought against her.
– We are discussing what this resolution proposal, which is to function as an indictment, should look like, the Unity List’s Rosa Lund explained after the meeting on Tuesday.
– There we are of an attitude in the Unity List, and then there are some other parties that think otherwise. And they have to answer that.
According to Rosa Lund, the question of untruths for the Folketing is of particular importance because it did not have consequences when it came to light.
– We have seen in other situations where ministers have spoken untruthfully to the Folketing that they have apologized and been fired. None of the parts have happened in this case.
– That is why we think it is important that it will fill in the Supreme Court, she says.
She goes on to say that it would have been “most optimal” if Støjberg had been removed as minister at the time.
On the contrary, the Danish People’s Party, which is opposed to a high court case at all, believes that an independent indictment of untruths to the Folketing is problematic.
– We think that it is completely out of proportion to let a Supreme Court investigate the duty to provide information to the Folketing. If you have to do that, then there are a number of ministers who must also be investigated before a Supreme Court, says the party’s group chairman, Peter Skaarup.
He emphasizes that just as the Danish People’s Party does not believe that a national court case should be brought every time there is a reasonable suspicion that a minister has lied to the Folketing, the Danish People’s Party also does not believe that it is necessary in this case.
