The City of Helsinki has asked the police for investigative support for exposure to the coronary virus in the Vuosaari bar bar.
At least 15 people who visited TimeOut Sports Bar & Grill on Saturday, January 30 have since become infected with the virus, according to the city chief Timo Lukkarinen.
"This is probably a more contagious virus option," he said, adding that the city has asked for police help because not all potentially exposed people could be reached.
"In this case, the infections have spread so suddenly that it is important to reach everyone in the restaurant as soon as possible," Lukkarinen added that infections have occurred in several different customer groups.
The Regional State Administrative Agency of the Alcohol Inspection Unit of Southern Finland (Avi) is now investigating incidents related to mass freezing in co-operation with the police, Lukkarinen said.
