Large amounts of snow and snow drifts in several places in the country cause police districts to warn of dangerous conditions on Monday night.
The whole of Funen is affected by snow drifts, and this can lead to sudden snow drifts and reduced visibility, the Funen Police write on Twitter.
– When it is raining, the roads may look reliable and then suddenly be covered with snow. Pay attention, be patient and take care of each other, the police write.
South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police also write that several roads are difficult to access due to the snow.
This applies, among other things, to the South Motorway and the country roads around Næstved, Vordingborg and on Lolland and Falster.
Both police districts encourage motorists to drive away from home well in advance and drive according to the conditions.
Previously, the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police advised citizens to only drive if absolutely necessary and otherwise stay at home.
The Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) has a warning about snow drifts in the southern part of the country, which is valid until Monday evening.
This means that there is a minimum of ten centimeters of loose frost snow, while it blows more than ten meters per second.
