The Western High Court has upheld the district court’s sentence of 13 years in prison for Rasmus Stærk and Jan Weng Jensen, who beat a 47-year-old man to death at Skjern Enge near Tarm.
This is stated by the Western High Court in a press release.
The two men had assaulted the 47-year-old because they believed he was in possession of nude photos of a woman with whom Jan Weng Jensen had a sexual relationship.
The two inflicted blows and kicks to the man in the head, leading to a skull fracture, and the 47-year-old later died of his injuries.
As in the district court in Herning, it was in the district court a unanimous jury thing that found it proven that it was the two men to whom the association had added the 47-year-old blow to the head that became the victim’s final.
There was also full agreement to uphold the district court’s sentence of 13 years in prison for each of the two convicts.
