This is stated by duty officer Søren Greve from North Zealand Police.
The 19-year-old man’s condition is stable on Sunday afternoon, where he is surrounded by his family at the hospital, the chief of guards says.
Police and rescue crews were alerted about the accident at 07.12.
– It was one of the passengers in the accident vehicle who contacted the alarm center, says Søren Greve.
The accident happened on Færgelundsvej in Jægerspris, which was subsequently cordoned off. Pictures from the scene showed that the crashed car was on the roof outside the roadway.
The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, but slippery roads may well be part of the explanation.
– It has been rim-smooth on the roads, but whether there are also other conditions that may have affected the driving – such as high speed – I can not say yet, it sounds from the chief of guards.
The two slightly injured men escaped the accident with “scratches and bruises”.
