- Malmö became a big winner in the refined SHL bottom battle after Thursday night. It was a 3-1 home win against Djurgården after Adam Johnson decided in the last period and thus Malmö leaves the qualifiers and jumps up to the playoffs.
- Linköping also looked to jump in the table when Josh Ho-Sang put 1-0 away against Växjö five minutes into the final period, but the home team came back and Fredrik Karlström put the match decisive 2-1 in extra time. One point anyway for Linköping, but they are still jumbo.
- Another bottom competitor, HV71, had a very bland evening in the home meeting with Skellefteå. The Jönköping team was zeroed 0-2 and fell to the qualifiers.
